Are there any static charge problems with desktop PCs ? Do they elevate with temperature ? How to fix them up ?
Static charges are not a problem. Dryness affects static charge, but it doesn’t affect them. Be sure they are grounded. The cooler the environment the longer they will last. Dust is the biggest problem as it works as an insulator on the ICs. If you’re not going to clean them on a regular basis, then air conditioning matters little.

I am planning to buy a new system (desktop) and i have an option of choosing Q8600 processor. So, i need a suggestion from somebody about the performance of this processor especially for desktops.
Thanks in advance.
Is that a typo? Did you mean a Q6600 or E8600? The desktop Core 2 quads jumped from the Q8400 model to Q9300 and Q9400. I don’t recall there ever being a Q8600.

Anyway, Core 2 Quads are good processors but outdated and expensive.
For a new system you’d want to get Core i3 or Core i5.

the ability to upgrade components such as graphics cards, processors, and a unified standard on the motherboard. And when a laptop can come close to the power of a desktop. I mean a real desktop pumping 600 watts of power to two graphics cards and a real overclockable quad-core processor.

I just finished building a 6 core (amd) desktop pc, with 4 gigs of ram, and an ati radeon hd 5770 videocard. I have been planning on using ubuntu, but I thought maybe since my computer has so much power, I should use a more demanding kde desktop. Which distro would you reccomend for the best experience? (I have strong tech knowledge). Thanks!
Considering you put the emphasis on your PC power – select Debian, Ubuntu or LinuxMint and install the KDE environment that makes sense.
But there are other things to consider in choosing a Linux distro you’ll like (64-bits or 32, community help, ease of configuration, security, package available, updates frequency etc …)
I think this quizz can really help : http://polishlinux.org/choose/quiz/

I have a broadband connection in my room, and a wireless router lying in the cupboard. My sister also has a PC in her room, but no internet. How would i go about connecting/sharing my internet connection to her computer?
You have to either run an Ethernet cable to both computers or buy a wireless PCI card to use on one of the computers and set up wireless internet in your house.

I’m not liking my computer case, so I tried to modify it. Are there any websites that sell such a thing? Maybe something that comes fits in a drive bay?
Nope, you’ll have to buy a new case.

Whats the best model to buy?
I dont know if different models have different internet speeds from one another?
Are they as good as, say a Linksys wireless adapter?
Are they fast enough to use internet sites, chat live, play computer games and stream movies?
Of course, any USB wi-fi adapter will work in any PC with a USB slot to put it in. However, most people don’t use USB adapters on desktops because they’re both more expensive and have a harder time picking up signals that are far away. It’s better to use a PCI wi-fi adapter in a desktop computer.
Any brand of adapter will work fine, with D-Link and Linksys being the most common.
For anything besides gaming, a wireless connection will be sufficient. It’s not recommended for gaming because of the slight "lag" (delay between the router and your PC) that a wireless connection implies, so if you’re gaming, it’s best to plug it in.

my desktop is Win XP and my laptop is Win 7.. I’m already able to browse the C drive but can’t go into desktop folder, (permission denied). I’ve tried adding my laptop user name as an administrator to desktop
You need to go to the Desktop folder, Right Click, choose Permissions, and allow other users access to the folder. Also, make sure both computers are in the same Workgroup.
