Will mobile broadband work on my desktop computer?
Posted by: admin : Category: home desktop computers
we live in a area where we can’t get home internet with out buying a land line too. Do you think the verizon mobile broadband will work on our desktop home computer?
It would absolutely work as long as you get Verizon cell coverage where you live.

Absolutely.
Make sure you get a USB adaptor instead of a PCMCIA card, as the PCMCIA cards will need a special adapter in order to plug into your desktop computer.
Also, keep in mind that most mobile broadband plans have a 5GB monthly limit. So make sure you don’t exceed that, or you may get charged overages (which could run into the hundreds, or even thousands of dollars). Verizon should be able to provide you with a software tool to monitor your usage and make sure you don’t exceed the 5GB limit.
Finally, you should read the contract before you sign up. It’s possible that they prohibit the use of the mobile broadband adapter on a desktop computer. Though that is unlikely. But better safe than sorry.

Check any of the mobile phone websites or visit their stores for best offers.
I include the ‘link’ to the Vodaphone site for you read and check coverage and services available.
