What the heck, do HP computers come with a monitor?

I was looking on the HP computers online, and it looks like you have to buy the monitor separate?
Is that true?
They are available separately or in a package. Same with Dell or any other brand. Recently purchased 450 Dell computers for a business I support. The company already had monitors, so they choose to purchase only the computers – not monitors. Saved them several hundred thousand dollars. However the time before that, the company replaced a couple hundred HP workstations, and they did purchase those with monitors (as they wanted larger screens for them).
So HP (and Dell and everyone else) will sell the computers both with and without monitors. Read the ads carefully….

Some outlets offer systems, but no choice of monitor then.
