Can a SD adapter plug into a PC Computer hardrive?

I just bought an SD card and adapter for my phone. Where does the adapter plug in at on my pc desktop computer?
it depends on your computer if it has Sd slots some do and some don’t if you don’t then try a laptop or buy a usb Sd slot adapter you can find that at your local electronice store or try plugging in the phone itself with the sd card in it if you want to add music or something
