Is there any way, to access my PC desktop icons from my laptop?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: pc desktop computers

I run a laptop via a wireless connection to my main PC/computer.
Is there anyway to log onto that PC and see that desktop and then use the programs, etc loaded on that PC from my laptop?

You can use a Virtual Network Connection. TightVNC is a good program that allows you to connect any two computers remotely on the same network. Both computers have to have the program installed and opened for it to work. From your laptop you’ll be able to access almost everything on your PC.

Not use the programs on your laptop, but you could remote control the PC by using LogMeIn or Remote Desktop Connection.

If you share your C Drive from your desktop, you can go in and run anything on it. It will not be as convenient as looking at the desktop but it will work.

I don’t know if this will be any help, but I have heard that you can use this website to let others view your computer or you can view theirs. Its free and you have to download I think it is the first one or second depending on how you want to set it up. Try it and see. My insurance agent told me about it so I could get on his computer. Good Luck.
