What is the cause of my desktop pc powering off automatically after running for around 20 minutes?

Hi I have been experiencing my desktop computer has been powering off automatically after around 20 minutes. At the same time, now whenever I use my pc the mother board is making noisy sounds. Can anyone figure out what’s happening and how this problem can be solved? I would indeed appreciate that.
Its probably preventing over heating. Could be two differnt things the fan on the cpu when you attempt to start it again or the harddrive going bad.

Sounds like your computer is powering down to prevent overheating. The noise you are hearing is probably the heatsink and fan on your processor not working properly. Open your case and turn your computer on to pin point the location of the sound. Just be sure not to touch anything inside of it. If that’s the problem, replacing it should be a solution. There are pretty decent options available on Newegg for about 20 $.

dodgy cooling system
maybe the bearings are gone, maybe its clogged with dust
just open it up and clean it,
if that doesnt work get a new fan
