Sounds like she doesnt like the flash. Get her some food , something tasty like a piece of lunch meat ,and give her a bite of it. Take the rest with you and get her to the spot you want her in and give her another little nibble. Then get her up on the couch and give her her a nibble there. Keep the rest where she can see it and hold it up some and snap the pic as you do this. She should look up some and you will have a cute pic. If this doesnt work, you will just have to catch her doing something cute and have your camera ready at all times and take the pics then.

excersice her first! then she will get tired out. Also for a best picture, take it with her near some natural light, like a window or something. Use a treat or toy for her to look at you. ( it might be hard if she is not good at sit and stay) also, she might be afraid of the flash, so turn it off, cause the light might scare her. if you want a REALL good picture… Take her outside with the natural colors, some bright ones, the fall season is the best. Also make sure she is happy, so she will be smiling! Good Luck! :D

I have found that always having the camera handy helps. Also Puppies don’t stand still but i fell they also take the best pics. If you wissel or make a noise they should stop most of the time. Or they will turn their head whitch makes a very cute pic. Because they are very shy and look around a lot. I have 2 new puppies and they have already done well with the camera i take lots and get them use to it. It is hard to take pics with things that don’t sit still..lol but i think if you just wait and always have the camera handy a good shot will come around. Hope i have been of some help! Good Luck!

You can’t!!! So, how do professional photographers do it? It can take literally hundreds of tries before a photographer gets the ‘perfect’ photo. If you have a digital camera, just follow your pet around and take as many pics as you can – eating, sleeping, playing, just keep taking them. Use the best quality setting on your camera, as this will mean that you can crop the photos you feel are good, without losing much detail. Have some treats ready for when you turn on the camera, so that the dog will associate the click of the cam turning on with something nice!

I love taking photos, and love it even more when my friends and associates tell me my work is top quality, but what they don’t always know is the fact that for every photo with the ‘WOW’ factor, there are perhaps 10 that went directly to the recycle bin!

Good luck. Now go on, put on your running shoes, get the bag of doggie treats, and let’s be seeing those award winning photos!

    Best wishes,

My dog is the same way he’ll do the cutest things ever when the camera is off. I suguest having another person holding the camera and you stand beside the camera person and get your dogs attention by swinging around a treat or just calling its name. That works with my dog. :)
