HP makes great …
HP makes great printers, but the bundled software for Windows is pure bloatware. Brother makes a decent colour laser printer and Brother doesn’t foist crapware on the end user.
For Linux, HP is just lovely. Brother also ‘gets’ Linux.
On a side note, one trick I’ve learned is to have a decent mono laser for most office jobs and a cheap multi inkjet for scanning and the (rare) colour job.

Brother is the cheaper option for MFP and colour machines as you mostly just exchange the tonerunits and the drums have a longer lifespan , thus reducing the cost per copy.
