I just received this from Play.com and thought I’d try to do an unboxing. It looks really nice and has an overall high quality look to it. However, it only comes with a VGA cable, but I went and bought a DVI cable off Amazon for £2.80.

Quad Monitor Setup

Custom Quad-Display Array I built. The Monitors are mounted to the wall using 1/2″ Iron Pipe Fittings available at any home improvement warehouse. The center display is a 32″ LCD HDTV. The side displays are 20″ Widescreens, mounted in portrait. The top display is a 23″ Widescreen. One computer drives all displays. Total cost of the project (not including displays) was around $55.00.

File Sharing: Printers & Files in XP and Vista

In this lesson, we show two computers: one running XP and the other Vista. They are both new installs so the settings we change are the default ones you would see if you never touched the networking and sharing settings. We set the computer and workgroup name, check the networking protocols, enable file and printer sharing in both XP and Vista. Then we share a few folders and printers on each computer.

This video is part of a broader set of videos that cover all aspects of home network setup and configuration. This particular lesson comes from section 4, which covers setup of Printer and File Sharing.
