In this video, I show you how you can use an old computer lying around as an extra or external monitor for your desktop (or vice versa, where one computer shares it’s screen with your laptop). The application we will be using is called ScreenRecycler. All you need to do is install screenrecycler on the Mac that will not be sharing it’s screen, and install JollyVNC on the computer that will be sharing it’s screen. The computer that will be sharing it’s screen as the extra moniter can also be a windows PC, but I have not tested this myself, so you are on your own if you want to use a windows PC. You can then adjust the screen settings from system preferences. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
